Early life and Biography
Chris Mortensen was born in Torrance, California, USA, on November 7, 1951. Seeing his schooling, he attended the North Torrance High School in Torrance, California, and he enrolled in El Camino College. Throughout the Vietnam War, he served two decades at the US Army.
Journalism Career
Mortensen himself disclosed his journalism career started when he realized he could no longer compete in soccer, baseball, beyond his high school years. To be able to stay near the game as it had been his fire, he changed his mind about being a teacher and a mentor and decided to pursue a career as a sports journalist that is competitive. He began his career with the Daily Breeze newspaper in his hometown of Torrance, California, all of the way back in 1969.
